Tunda ("we", "our", or "us") is a music-first social app that helps people connect through shared music taste. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Tunda you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

Name and display name
Email address
Date of birth (used to verify minimum age)
Gender and dating preferences
Password (stored as a secure hash — we never see it in plain text)

Profile information

Profile photos you upload
Bio and any optional text you add to your profile
City-level location (used to show you nearby users — we do not track precise GPS)
Music preferences: favourite genres, artists, and tracks you interact with in the app

Usage information

Swipes, likes, matches, and passes
Songs you beam, dedicate, or share
Messages and song dedications sent between matched users
App activity and feature usage (used to improve the product)

Device and technical information

Device type, operating system version
Push notification token (used only to deliver in-app alerts)
Crash reports and performance data

Payment information

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details. We receive only your subscription status (active / expired) via RevenueCat.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and maintain your Tunda account
To show you other users and enable matches based on location and music taste
To deliver song beams, dedications, and notifications to the right person
To manage your Tunda Plus subscription and unlock premium features
To send push notifications (only for in-app events — no marketing without consent)
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service
To improve and develop new features in the app

3. Third-Party Services

Firebase (Google LLC)
We use Firebase for user authentication, cloud database (Firestore), file storage, and push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging). Firebase processes data on servers located in the United States. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy

RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions across platforms. RevenueCat receives your app user ID and subscription status. It does not receive your name, email, or payment card details. RevenueCat's privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy

Google Play Billing / Apple App Store
Subscription payments are processed by Google or Apple under their own privacy policies. We receive only a confirmation of your subscription status.

Google Sign-In / Sign in with Apple
If you choose to sign in using Google or Apple, we receive only the basic profile information (name, email) that you authorise during sign-in. We do not receive your Google or Apple password.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:

With other users: Your profile (name, photos, bio, music taste, city) is visible to other Tunda users as part of normal app operation.
Service providers: The third-party services listed above receive data only as needed to operate the app.
Legal obligations: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users.
Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your profile, photos, and personal information within 30 days. Anonymised or aggregated usage data that cannot identify you may be retained longer for product analytics.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Access and correction: You can view and edit your profile information at any time from the app.
Account deletion: You can delete your account from the app under Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your data.
Push notifications: You can disable push notifications at any time from your device settings.
Data requests: To request a copy of your data or ask questions about how it is used, contact us at the address below.

7. Children's Privacy

Tunda is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will promptly delete their account.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), Firebase security rules to restrict database access, and secure password hashing. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and, where appropriate, via a notification in the app. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last revised.
